OK, I don't normally complain, because I think that everyone/everyplace can have an 'off' day. (In fact I've NEVER complained online about a business.) .. but this is the 2nd time I've wasted time & money, so here it goes.. (Cover your eyes/ears for a minute if you don't want to hear it!) Babe's Old Fashioned Burgers (Helotes location 4/4/2013) tonight for a quick impromptu family meal, right?! Sure. Walk in the front door and met with the most unenthusiastic order-taker I've every met (and that would be an understatement as she rubbed her forehead, sighed and gave us the stare of death. When we asked her questions, she answered like we were taking the last breath out of her, and never looked up from her writing pad unless to glare at us.) Ok moving on, hope she feels better. Wait..... waiting..... waiting.... (1 hour, yes... 1 hour for 4 burgers later) we get called to go get our food. While hubby is picking up the food, I attempt to get ketchup from the 2 ketchup pumps which are empty & a mess. (I hate to bother the two teenage girl employees who are catching up behind the counter, but the cooks are watching me and not responding...) The young ladies stop their conversation long enough to roll their eyes & toss a handful of ketchup packages at my son, and then get back at their reunion. Sure. Back to the table (starving) get to take a bite of my burger. Wait? Did I order 'charred'?! Each burger is burned and hard. The cheese didn't even make it on my son's burger. I guess an hour isn't long enough to deal with 'presentation'. Oh yeah, we forgot your onion rings, you'll need to wait for those. Sure. No problem. $60+ for horrible food, and horrible service. (They never refilled the ketchup container BTW). Never again. (OK, back to your regular programming. Sorry, I just had to get it off my chest.) — at Babe's Old Fashioned Burgers.\r

(My husband did take his burger back to the cook to show him. The cook simply shrugged his shoulders & said he'd cook another one. We were never approached by anyone about the poor service, over 1 hr wait, forgotten part of the order nor burned food. Really?!)\r
