UNETHICAL. My husband and I bought a beautiful baby hyacinth from Todd Marcus Birds Exotic in summer 2011. She was tested within the 24 hour window that this retailer expects. At that time she tested positive for the bourno virus. We notified Todd Marcus Birds Exotic and they would not stand behind their 6 month guarantee. She then was tested again, and once again tested positive for the bourno virus. The veterinarian said she would live 2.5-3 years of age. She died at just 2.5 years old. I absolutely do not recomend Todd Marcus Birds Exotic. If you are interested in buying any type of bird. I recomend you do your homework. Please investigate. There are other bird stores and breeders that stand behind what they sell. We are devastated by this loss.
