If you are at all interested in books, how could you not love this place? It is huge, ever evolving, has lots of events, great prices and you can lose yourself for hours on end, emerging only to eat.
The staff is great - always helpful when you need to find something (or even want a recommendation), but otherwise they stay out of your way, which is exactly what you want in a store that you're meant to browse in.
It's very easy to find what you're looking for - and if you can't, there are maps everywhere to help you out. The color coding of the rooms really makes it simple to figure out.
We are extremely lucky to have such this place here in Portland!
