and get a referral to another practice.\r
\r
I got a referral to Resurgens a week ago. I have called every day, attempting to set up an appointment. I have left messages. I have sat on hold for upwards of 30 minutes.\r
I still don't have an appointment.\r
\r
I called my doctor this morning and got a referral to another practice. I have an appointment.\r
\r
I should have known. I was a patient of Resurgens several years ago. 10 weeks in, I had yet to actually receive any treatment for my problem... which had been treated in the past by another doctor. I told them (on my first visit) exactly what was wrong, how it was treated, and what I was doing for rehab. I gave them the number and name of the doctor that had treated me in the past. I told them that I would need an MRI and that my issue would not show up on an X-Ray.\r
\r
I was told to come back in 2 weeks for an X-Ray.\r
After 10 weeks, I had gotten an MRI and the doctor parroted back the diagnosis that I had told him on my first visit. He told me that I would need to do 2 months of rehab, then they would treat me.\r
\r
I got another referral to a real doctor and a month later I was fine.\r
\r
Not a good practice. Customer service is terrible. Level of care is abysmal. They don't listen to you. They will make you schedule lots of appointments so they can bill your insurance, but not actually treat you.\r
\r
Go to another doctor.
Pros: The staff appears to be alive, but somewhat disinterested in medicine.
Cons: Their reputation is such that your doctor will refer you to someone else, no questions asked.
