I sent a Sony HVR V1U to get an estimate and be repaired. Albert, the owner, assured me that by paying them the $819.32 fee they would repair the camera and do a full system cleaning. I was told ""the camera will be like new, just when it was out of the box"". Upon trying the ""repaired"" camera, I found it had new issues due to poor re-assembly, seemed to never have been fixed and several of the buttons were not responding or were activating other functions of the camera (buttons that worked before I sent it to them!). I sent the camera back to be repaired for these original and new electronic errors under the 6 month warranty and also to get the focus ring and zoom ring fixed as they were poorly replaced and now grinding. The response I got from Albert was ""the repair cost is $600.37 for part only."" So not only was the camera not repaired as it should have been the first time I sent it, I also lost out on shipping costs and am now being milked for another $600+.
