Recently, my mother-in-law was visiting from out of town and wanted to participate in Miami Spice. My husband and I decided to take her to try Two Chefs and were very pleased with our selection. \r
The menu at the restaurant changes regularly. During our visit, we had several selections that were both on and off the Miami Spice menu. One of the more memorable appetizers was a seafood salad wrapped in thin sliced of daikon, which was delicious. I also ordered the drink special at the time, which was the Harvey Wallbanger. It was very tasty, but also very strong, so a note of caution if you have a low tolerance for alcohol. \r
For entrees, I had the crispy salmon (which was substituted for the trout that they ran out of). It was okay. The star entree was the Coq Au Vin, which my mother-in-law ordered, which was rich and delicious. For desert, two of us had the souffles - chocolate and Grand Marnier. They were decadent and cooked to PERFECTION. \r
We really enjoyed this restaurant and thought that it was a great place to take an out-of-town guest. The dining room was somewhat darker than I typically enjoy, but the overall ambiance was pleasant. The prices at Two Chefs are a little higher than what we typically are used to, but feel that we got what we paid for. The chefs use fresh, high quality ingredients. We will definitely return for a special occasion or if we have a reason to splurge in the future.
