I had my hair cut and highlighted by Laura on a few occasions. She did a great job on both the cut and the hightlight but there are some things to be noted about the salon. Everytime I have been to the salon, Ibi, the owner, also Laura's mother, rushed her and kept telling her to hurry up. The last time I was there, Laura scorched my hair either drying it or flat ironing it and it smelled singed for 5 days. I would not compare this to a NY salon at all. The atmosphere tries to be high end but falters. Prices are high too and I question how they decide what to charge when I go. The first time I called and told Ibi I was calling off the website and a new customer which should have gotten me a 20% discount. My bill came to $250, the next time over $185. There are a lot of nicer salons in town for these prices. I won't go back and won't recommend based the conversations between Ibi and her employees, the atmosphere, and the changing pricing structure.
