Review content:
My wife took her car in for an inspection and they failed her inspection and stated that there was less than 2/32 tread and proceeded to try and sell her a new set of tires. She called and asked if she should buy new tires and I told her not to. When she arrived home I inspected the tires in accordance with the Texas Department of Public Safety criteria that is on their website and found the tires to be well within the requirements. I went and confronted them on this issue the next day. The technician told me that there could not be any place on the tire with less than 2/32 tread or it would fail. I pulled up the DPS website and shoes the technician that it states that there cannot less than 2/32 in any two adjacent major grooves in the center or middle of the tire. The groove that the technician failed it on was the outermost groove that also was within 2/32. The technician admitted he was wrong and agreed to reinspect the car. After 20 minutes he came back and said that the tires now failed because of ply separation. There is no ply separation, but there is not a black and white definition for this as there was with what they originally cited. Rather than admitting that they were wrongfully trying to sell my wife tires they just changed the reason for failure to something that is subjective and difficult to prove either way. Beware of these people! \r
