Review content:
My family visited Stillwater last week while vacationing at Emerald Isle. We've dined at Stillwater for the last few years and have found the food to be very good. We were incredibly disappointed during our last visit, however, with the customer service. We made our reservation several days in advance as we were a large party of 11. We called the day of our dinner to confirm and were told ""all of your party must arrive at 5:30 because we have another party coming in to sit at that table at 7 PM."" We were rushed throughout our meal. Our wait staff member was rude and the hostess terribly curt. Upon leaving, we witnessed the hostess having an altercation with a large group of folks who simply wished to move two tables together. so that their party could share one, large table. The hostess abruptedly told the gentleman leading that party, ""If you don't like it, you don't have to stay..."" While I understand them not being able to move two tables (she said because the wait staff needed a path) her approach was inappropriate and I was embarrased for those who had to witness the incident. The party ended up leaving the restaurant due to the poor customer service. I regret that Stillwater will not be a part of our future visits to Beaufort. Pros: Great views, good food Cons: Poor customer service, rude staff
