Review content:
So my roommate and I decided we would try and beat the nearly hour long commute to AC by checking out Harrah's the first thing you will notice is the casino is set back from the main road you drive in off of, this is because there is a prison in front of it. Literally 30 yards from the valet parking is the rec area for a prison!!
Alright so leaving aside the fact that you are driving through chester and the prison is right in front of the front doors (literally) to the casino, the caisno itself is pretty small and it seems like theres alot of wasted space.
You have to BUY your drinks, we're talking $4 for a cheap beer compared to AC where youd get whatever you want free. The waitress staff was non-existent and when one did come around to take orders you had a 50/50 shot of actually getting that drink, you'd regularly see your waitress walk back by again asking for orders again with nothing in her hand.
The dealers were slow and made lots of mistakes, this as another review seems to point out may be due to lack of staff and getting them proper breaks, one of our dealers said he was over an hour late for his break and looked like he was going to pass out on the table.
Security was ALLL over the place, I mean obviously in AC theres a ton of security but they tend to blend in when they are out and about and aren't as easily visible, at parks it seemed like they were swarming all over the place and didn't help make me feel any more secure being that close to the prison.
While it saves you a bit of a trip and some tolls I was also hoping to save some money with lower table minimums but there was only a single $10 table on a monday night and there was a good crowd waiting to get on it. I understand this is even harder to find in AC but at least im getting free drinks as I wait for a spot to open up on a table in AC, here I just sat around and twiddled my thumbs and attempted to order a few drinks receiving half of the ones I ordered.
Overall consensus, we are going to try out philadelphia park and Parx (which has free drinks) but will not return to harrahs, AC isn't that much further considering the difference in atmosphere and customer service.
Pros: Parking, ther was a single $10 table on a monday night?
Cons: small, pay for your drinks, slow dealers, BAD area
