Portnov has THE BEST and FASTEST QA program to get you into this filed. Period.\r \r Computer background is helpful, as you can imaging (because you will be working in the computer softeare field), but absolutely not necessary. There are many many students from all kinds of background, English, Engineering, Literature, high school...you name it. The school teaches you the basic staff you will need to be a successful QA. The classes are focused on three major areas. First is testing theory and practice, such as software QA, testing, testing planning, bug reporting etc, it get you ready as a QA professional. The second is all kinds of Computer knowledge, such as internet, html/css, javascript, Perl, Selenium, Quick Test Pro. This get you ready to work in the Silicon Valley. The third area is projects. Students work on real work commercial products in their projects. These products are or will be on the market. They are real projects, not the course project you do in community college. This get you ready for real world work.\r \r The best part of the program is the internship, where the school sends you to companies in the area. This is almost guaranteed. Many students turn full time after their internship, some of them found better job and move forward\r \r The staff in the school is really nice, like the family for students. Everyone is involved in teaching the students useful stuff and help them find job.\r \r I just started my internship with a company in Sunnyvale, and my boss has only one word for the interns in week one: “Impressed!” . Portnov School has prepared us so well that we started cracking down bugs, solving problems since day one, and get our product ready for release soon. Thank you Portnov School!\r
