Review content:
I bought a Subaru at Yark in 2003 and needed to get a new car due to a variety of problems with it that were going to cost more than I wanted to pay to fix. They wouldn't offer me a penny over $500 for the trade even though it was clearly worth way more than that and they wouldn't negotiate down more than a couple hundred off advertised price on newer used cars even though it's obvious from watching their web site that they'll mark them down $1,500 - $2,000 or more if they sit on the lot for long. I went next door to Brown Honda and even after telling them exactly what was wrong with my trade they still offered $3,500 for it which was a fair offer and SEVEN TIMES the most Yark was willing to give. They got me in a new CRV for less than I'd have had to pay for a couple year old 30K + mile used Forrester at Yark even though the base price on them is pretty similar. Both makers have good reputations and I wasn't real impressed with how long my first Subaru lasted (engine problems after 125K miles). They must have thought I was stupid based on their lowball trade and sticker price inflexibility but their greed turned me into a happy Honda owner!
