Far and away, the finest restaurant operation the area has to offer. Chef Nicole Bissonnette is French trained, studying at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, and yet continually adds to her talents by integrating Pan-Asian influences as well as Caribbean flavors. The menu is broad and diverse, and everything is fresh beyond compare. This is the caliber of restaurant that you will want to celebrate that first date, a special occasion, or an anniversary. The service is attentive and experienced. The location on Lincolnway is quaint, and the interior atmosphere is unique - the brick wall, the antique refrigerator, the wooden bar, the artwork, the furnishings - these are some of the decorating elements that create an inviting environment in which to enjoy an evening of fine dining. In summer months, the street-side dining option provides a more informal experience. The appetizers include sushi, crab cakes and other delights. They offer fresh, crisp salads with unique dressings. The diverse menu will offer something for everyone (beef/duck/chicken, fish, pasta, veggie), and the daily specials emphasize fresh catches that are sure to please fish lovers. The sommelier is knowledgeable, with a good offering that is reasonably priced. The Martini bar is a new addition; offering an alternative to this traditionally wine-only restaurant. The desserts are all hand crafted and will settle your sweet tooth along with a fine cup of coffee or cappuccino at the end of the most wonderful meal you will have had out in a long time. Bistro 157 is open for lunch Tuesday - Saturday, and dinner Tuesday - Sunday. Reservations are required on the weekend. In addition to catering, Nicole does some special fixed-price multi-course dining events for New Years Eve and other select dates, and these are not to be missed. If you want a truly superior dining experience, Bistro 157 is a restaurant you MUST try. Pros: Intimate environment with fabulous food & service
