MacAfee picked up a virus on my laptop, but couldn't remove it because the virus starts up right as the computer starts. I ran some of the free anti-virus software on the web, all of which found the virus, but none of which could remove it. After hearing so many ads for tech fusion on the radio, I decided to give them a call. They said they could remove viruses, malware, ect. ect. and that it was EXTREMELY rare that they would have to reinstall windows. Very very rare. \r \r They require a deposit of $65.00 to drop the computer off - this isn't something they say on the phone, it's a surprise when you get there. They had the computer almost a week before the tech called back. He was literally yawning as he said there was nothing they could do, I'd have to re-install windows. Come down, give them the rest of their money (another $35.00) and pick up my computer. \r \r The kicker on it? I have a friend who was able to remove the virus with PC Tools. I feel very foolish for going to them, and worse, I feel like I was scammed out of $100.00. The techs that I saw and interacted with were all very young (early to mid twenties) and not invested at all in what they were doing. I think the tech who was yawning in my ear on the phone really sums up their attitude towards their work and their customers. \r \r My advice? Go ANYWHERE before you go here...
