The moving out portion was fine. Movers were great and communicated each detail to us.
The moving in portion was not so pleasant. First of all, the designated contact person doesn't know what she is saying half the time. She gave us 4 different ETA dates, making us reschedule our entire week. However, she will never tell you that it's rescheduled unless you actually took the time to email or call. Once your contract is in, they don't really care about you and just give you lip service to appease you at the moment. We were told we were going to be informed of all these great things like contact number for driver, scheduled date, blah blah blah. Never once did they take the initiative to contact us. when the first ETA deadline passed, we were left wondering why no one ever called. Then the second...and then the third...
Then when we finally called them and asked to speak to the manager, they gave us lip service again, saying how sorry they are etc. and that he would call back within an hour half to tell us the schedule. Never heard back.
We finally got the number to the driver and called him. Even he tried to pawn us off to ""call the office"" even though he is the one with the schedule. The manager still never called.
When we booked with the Moving Experts (their agent), they said it would take 1-14 days. However, Elite sent me a final contract ""so they can load the shipment"", they slipped in an extra 2 weeks as our ""delivery window"". Shady shady.
They are no better than any other moving company, shoddy customer service and only care about your money. I wouldn't ""not"" recommend them because I guess from the experiences of the movers themselves, they're the lesser of all the moving company evils.
Pros: Pre-moving customer service, movers careful
Cons: Non-responsive customer service after contract, poor comm.
