I read the reviews and still went in with an open mind. What my wife and I got was one of the best meals outside of Mom's kitchen, an excellent show in a down-home yet elegant setting, and some of the worst treatment I've ever experienced. Let me begin by stating that our waitress was top notch! The manager and owner (who was present on this night) however, were terrible. As an African-American over 30 I'm sick and tired of African-American establishments with arbitrary dress codes (friends of the management excluded of course!) and nouveau riche, bourgeois behavior towards its patrons. What a waste...
