this was our first restaurant experience in the neighborhood. we arrived and to our dismay, there was no waiting area, except just inside the door where we were standing over other diners. the hostess didn't seem like a very professional hostess. we ended up waiting well over an hour to be seated. the hostess sat at a table with diners the entire time we waited. we finally ended up in a 2 person table in the back of the restaurant. i must say, the service was absolutely horrible. after waiting for another 30 minutes, our order was finally taken, and then we never saw our server again, and once our meals came out, we never saw runners or bussers again. we were very vocal to the other servers at the tables near us that we were being completely ignored because there was only two of us and our server was more concerned with his bigger tables where he would get a bigger tip. we were truly completely ignored. we had to ask another server to order dessert, and another server to bring our bill. our server did not care at all. and on top of that, the food was just ok. nothing better than you might find in tourist little italy in manhattan, with the same prices. and we all know how poor quality that food is. between the hostess (an older blonde lady), the nearly two hours spent between walking in the door and getting our food, and our unattentive server, i doubt we will be back. i sure hope we can find somewhere decent in this neighborhood!
