I went to Alpha Dental with the expectation of replacing three crowns because I was looking for a Mercury Free dentist. Two of my crowns where gold and one nickel (so the doctor might say to you the protocol isn't necessary) don't fall for it. Because you don't know what's under the crowns. There are studies showing mercury buildup in the brain will lead to dementia, Alzheimer, ALA and Parkinson's.
I had to ask Dr. Vinograd to put the damper in my mouth and he did yet after he took the crowns off he proceeded without the damper. Then later he shows me my x-rays and says there was amalgam on your tooth which he took care of after he took the damper off. The whole reason for going to him was that he advertises ""Mercury Free"" dentistry yet he doesn't follow the protocol.
DON'T FALL FOR HIS CHARM because I did and had a HORRIFIC experience. Because he will tell you I have 20 years of experience and I do great work.
His work is sloppy and he works on your mouth like he is using a jackhammer. I had saliva on my neck, powder sprayed on my clothes. And the worst part I returned to his office two times from my initial visit (this is what broke the camels back) because the temporary crowns came off the same tooth THREE times (the gross part is I swallowed two of them).
Now Dr. Vinograd expects me to pay him and refuses to give me my money back and wants me to come back (fourth time) and he will make it all better. NO WAY!
