Gals pals for life or at least until I can afford my own place!!! Myself and my two roomates heard about speedladating from a friend of ours when we saw a bloomspot promotion for 3 tickets. We all adore bloomspot. It's the perfect spot to try out the best in any given city. From great restaurants to great manicures to great everything - bloomspot rocks! We got our tickets and went last night to a spot in Santa Monica called Xino. We live not too far so we knew the rooftop of the Santa Monica place mall very well. Awesome spot for drinks and hanging out. One of the so called perks of this service is that they offer a make-up artist for the ladies right before the event. We all had our make-up done already but thought we would see what all the hoopla was about. It's like being at a Bloomingdales counter without the pressure to buy stuff. The make-up girl seemed super nice and gave us all some touch ups and we were ready for the night! The event started a bit late as guys were late in getting there. Typical. :-) It didn't matter much as it gave us time to get a drink, chat with the make-up artist and relax a bit. When the rest of the group finally arrived we started. I don't know why I was nervous but I was. Looking back now it seems a bit silly but what can I say. I thought the event was super professional and the hosts super sweet. They wear these cute ties which I thought was adorable. They're serious about having fun. I think there was about 20 ladies and a few less guys. I love meeting new people so even the guys I didn't like, I still enjoyed chatting with. A couple in particular were very cute and I was quite smitten with. Let's see - what else - they have food before and a bit during the event which was a great way to get some pre-event chatting done with the guys - so how often do you come here? Do you find that spicy? I couldn't stop the corny lines from coming out. The night ended and we turned in our scorecard which ranks who we liked and who - not so much. \r
This morning we received a Facebook message to come and write a review on here for $8 off our next purchase - so here we are!!!! We're supposed to give honest feedback so here goes.\r
I really liked the event and the group. I don't what I would give as a critique. I had to hide my card sometimes to keep the other guys from seeing it but I don't know if that is considered a critique. I found the staff to be super sweet and overall a really fun night. So there.
