I recently moved to NYC and since I don't really know a lot of people here I decided to try a speed dating event last night at 48 Lounge. It was my first event and I was really nervous especially since I was going solo. The venue was nice and the hosts were organized and definitely made me feel comfortable. I did not have any real expectations other than meeting some new people but I had a much better time than I expected. Like some of the other reviews, I wish there was more time to talk with each girl but I guess that's why it's called speed dating. I only met one girl I would be interested in seeing again but all the girls were nice and interesting. Hopefully I'll know who I got matched up with soon since I'm still waiting to find out. One other thing I like to point out was that this was a pretty diverse group (background, ethnicity) that attended the event which was great especially if you're open to different nationalities. Overall this was a fun event and I'm definitely interested in attending another one in the future.
