Review content:
I have been a patron at Star 21 Salon off and on for over 15 years, I will not say which stylist I go to now because ***** is already too busy to get appointments with. What I will say is that I have had a great experience with many of the operators at Star 21 and have been pleased with every massage, facial, and pedicure; and nearly every hair style (I should have listened: ""blond is not your color""). \r \r From the exterior the salon doesn't grab your attention. It is a simple ivy-covered brick building with discrete signage; the only telling sign of a successful business is the line up of Mercedes and other luxury vehicles in the parking lot. The salon interior is clean, and stylishly, albeit conservatively, decorated. The reception staff always greet me with a smile (they know me pretty well after 15 years I suppose) but they are more often too busy helping check someone out at the counter than to chat with me. It's a busy salon, I've rarely been there without seeing every stylist working on someone. The small waiting area is bookended with two manicure stations; but luckily I have rarely had to sit there long. Massage, and pedicures are in the basement. Facial rooms and hair styling stations are on the main floor. \r \r For massage I recommend Lisa. She gives a great deep tissue massage but my preference is her relaxing 90 minute treatment. Rhiannon has given me great pore-cleansing acne-clearing facials, and the PERFECT pedicure on multiple occasions. \r \r By-in-large the vast majority of my visits have been for hair cuts. I've had the same stylist for nearly 15 years and because of his popularity have, sometimes, been unable to get an appointment with him that fit my schedule. On those rare ""hair emergencies"" and on *****'s recommendations I've seen several of the other stylists as well. Like I said, I have my preference, but truthfully can say that this salon is full of top-notch and very talented stylists. My favorite thing about Star 21 (besides stylist) are the large clean cutting ""rooms"" with high shoulder high partitions. Even with someone being cut in the station on either side, there's a sense of privacy. \r \r I highly recommend Star 21 Salon.\r Pros: great massage, facials, and hair stylists. great location Cons: busy street, dangerous street parking
