Review content:
My daughter had her car towed over to Dave's because it wouldn't start. So, they ended up installing a new battery and changing out the transmission fluid (she made the mistake of mentioning that she thought her transmission was acting up). So $532.00 later, she has a new battery and new transmission fluid...hmmm?! Needless to say, I was not too happy! It's mechanics like Dave that give the business a bad reputation of being dishonest. When I asked why so high, he replied that he did do a diagnostic. On what? The alternator? fine. Then he mentioned the he checked the starter, too. Why? Nothing was wrong with it. I picked up one of his cards off the desk so I could remember to tell people to NOT go to Dave's. Maybe they need to charge so much so they can keep those pink neon palm trees lit up.
