I will not be booking with Budget ever again. I typically like to go with the better priced rental car companies, however, after this experience, I will pay a little bit more for better service and better cars. Two of the three mini cans we had, had broken rear hatches, and once we discovered this, we had to duct tape them shut!
Budget does not honor the gift cards they sell. I bought $1100 worth of gift cards to use for the three mini vans I rented for a sports team, and they refused to take them. Now... as I work my way up the ladder to get this resolved. I am out $2200.
They two gentlemen behind the counter were incredibly rude and incompetent. One of them was lying to me as one would say something completely different than the other.
When I left the building, the employee told me to leave my gift cards ($1100 worth) with him for his manager to take care of the following day. If I didn't leave my gift cards, he threatened that his manager would never honor them. Get real! Like I would really trust these Budget employees with that much money!
The last note to share is that this location is not on the airport property, so even though every other car company offers returns onsite at the airport, this Budget does not.
