I though I was saving a few dollars with this company, turns out I was wrong. At the Burbank airport in California I signed only one document, the rental agreement. I was then transported via a shuttle from the airport to the vehicle location. One of the Budget employees approached me at the front and the driver of the shuttle gave him the copy of the rental agreement. The Budget employee handed me a key and told me the lot number the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was tightly parked in with the other cars; I had to pull the vehicle out to place my luggage in the car. An employee waived me to depart because there were other cars waiting to use the parking lot. After my trip was completed and this observation on site I returned the vehicle the Budget employee claimed a small scratch above the gas tank. I disputed with the Budget employee due to the scratch being present prior to my departure. I immediately contacted my insurance company, who was passed the same claim about the scratch. A month later I received paperwork for multiple damages on the vehicle that were never stated to me or my insurance when I returned the vehicle. The Budget employee should have provided me with a damage assessment with my contract prior to directing me off the lot. Apparently there allowed to add more damages during this process. I am in an ongoing dispute with Budget and though my insurance is willing to pay without changing my rates and with minor out of pocket exspense, It is shocking that they can pull this on people. According to other reviews that I read they try to pull this scam often on people who don't by LDW insurance with them. They will try to rush you out the door. I am going to pursue them, but I wouldint recommend anyone to rent for there company, or make sure that you check everything and request the inspection be done. Good Luck!
