Review content:
I dined at Riverhouse last weekend with my family and it was amazing. We sat on the patio in back which over looks the river but is far enough away that you don't get eaten alive by the mosquitos. The ambiance was very romantic, granted I was there with my family. We ordered a few appetizers to share, the crab cakes, mussels, and the risotto fritters. All of them were amazing, the fritters were a chicken confit risotto that was breaded and lightly fried served with a delicious aioli. My favorite were the mussels though, steamed in one of the local beers they have on tap, cant remember which one it was though. Absolutely delicious, the whole table was pretty much arguing over who got to drink the broth. We ate a sort of family style entree course ordering almost one of each of the entrees, which are each served with your choice of soup or salad. We had the scallops, the hanger steak, the fruit de mar, the white fish, the filet and the entree seafood salad. I would say the hanger steak and the fruit de mar were my favorites. The fruit de mar came out heaping with all sorts of seafood, calamari, white fish, mussels, it was a great portion and delicious. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and served with a potato fondu which was to die for. Everything was absolutely amazing from the service right down to the bruleed cheese cake dessert. We will definitely be back very soon.
