I'm not sure if the reviewer below walked in on a really bad day? The gym is AMAZING. The people are so nice, the coaches there truly care if you're making progress, getting a good workout, and enjoying yourself when you go there. Everybody knows everyone's name there - how can that be pretentious? I give it 5 stars; I have been going since June and just bought at 6 month membership - it's the best. They have a free trial so don't just judge by what's written here, if you're truly motivated to find an excellent workout in Center City do the trail thing - you'll find that it's NOT pretentious and no one there is rude to anyone. Pros: Three workouts combined into one killer workout - great concept that works. Cons: If you're looking for a ""bargain"" gym do 12th Street - but this place is worth the extra $.
