Review content:
This was the first time I had taken my wife to this restaurant. It was a December Sunday night, not too busy, but a great disappointment. The problems began when (because of food allergies) the waitress was asked how their savory rice was prepared. In particular she was asked whether the stock used (if any) had chicken or beef in it. She assured us that this was not the case. We asked for confirmation from the chef. iT DOES INDEED CONTAIN CHICKEN STOCK. THIS KIND OF IGNORANCE IS POTENTIALLY UNPLEASANT FOR VEGETARIANS AND DANGEROUS TO ONE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES. The waitress then proceeded to flood the table with water when refilling our glasses, which she did not notice during the rest of the meal! Only when we pointed out she had put the bill in the puddle did she ask (!!) if we wanted it mopped up! The entree when it arrived, had cold vegetables. The tuna (which is supposedly prepared to order though I was not asked how I would like it) was overcooked and dry. The vegetables were replaced. The waitress also asked my wife 'what he would like' for dessert, rather than asking me myself!! The final problem was with the creme brule, which had curdled. This was drawn to her attention and she seemed at a loss as to what this implied, and what to do about it. \r

UPDATE \r
We contacted Moe today about the disappointing meal, and after some misunderstanding he apologized handsomely. He was very concerned at how we had been treated and the quality of the fare that night, and promised to chase up the staff to see what had gone wrong. As he was genuinely upset that the meal had gone so wrong, and has taken steps to put things right we have upgraded the listing and accept his promise that this was a 'one off' that is not the usual standard. Moe himself was not working the particular night we visited. As we visited Moe's after a recommendation from people who praised the establishment, we are prepared to put the matter behind us and accept that his usal standard is a high one!
Pros: Pleasant ambience Owner apologised for problems and made amends so now recommended.
Cons: Poor uninformed server, food both cold and undercooked, but see pros!
