I can't understand the high ratings for this consignment shop, certainly not best of MO, either for buyer or consigner. Store seemed to have the usual semi-dingy stuff, plus size 90's bridesmaids dresses, etc. But the consignment side is where I was really disappointed.\r \r First, several items I brought were rejected for 'season' purposes. These included a sweater tank from anthropologie worn three times, and a jean miniskirt from j crew worn also about 3 times. I didn't ask questions, just said ok and left my originally $350 cache cocktail dress and a beaded top new with $70 tags.\r \r Later I decided to bring some new things and try a couple of the rejected summer items again. It was sunday and I had to leave them. For about 6 items including a bcbg silk sweater tank, brooks brothers sweater tank, satin theroy top, and kate spade purse in good condition among other things, I was offered $25 cash by phone. I'd thought the policy was to sell and get 50% of price so this was a surprise. Not to mention low. I said ok but that I would take back the theory top and purse and they could adjust price. When I arrived to pick up they said they actually couldn't take anything, and gave me my SIXTEEN dollar check for the dress that sold. This was surprising, considering I saw much lower quality, dated items starting at $90.\r \r I don't overestimate the value of my old clothes. Things I know are older go to charity, things that are barely worn our outgrown I consign. I will not be bringing any other items to the shop, and I'd suggest if you are a younger (20s-30s) client with quality taste that you do not either. Chances are you won't find anything in the store and you'd be much better off selling items to rag o rama on delmar or on ebay. I've started sending things to my sister in boston where she can consign to shops who recognize quality. It is too bad there seem to be none here. Pros: seem to have high volume of merchandise, decent purse selection Cons: questionable resale/reimbursement policy, items not that special
