Review content:
I stopped in to check out Double Danger, next door to Bryant Lake Bowl, last week on the recommendation of a friend and was blown away by how beautiful the store is! No detail is spared in what is essentially A COMIC GEEK'S DREAM. In addition to the huge selection of new comics and trade paperbacks, there's lots of great collectibles including lots of retro sci-fi tin robots, ray guns, and more. But this is really A LABOR OF NERDLY LOVE by the owners. I'm totally diggin' the wide pinstripe across the top of the book shelves to showcase comic cart--both new and classic. The front window is decked out like a comic panel with captions, and you can buy a REAL SUGARCANE COCA COLA from the icebox while you shop. FOR GEEKS IN TRAINING, There's also a great kids section in the front featuring newer, popular heroes and classics like Peanuts and Tin Tin. I can't think of ANY other local comic shop that treats kids so well. One note: the back issue collection is growing--I won't count that as a ""con"" because the store is so new and it takes time to accumulate. This store will make you stop pining over pipe dreams about opening your ""If Only..."" comic shop because these guys have written (and illustrated!) the book! Pros: Great Customer Service, Kids Section, BEAUTIFUL Shop Cons: None. Seriously.
