Review content:
I have shopped at Lenscrafters for all my eyeglass needs in the past because I couldn't find another place to go to. I noticed lots of discrepancies in their deals on their website and the store. The website said that AAA members got a 30% discount and in the store they said it's only 15%. The website also mentioned that there is a 50% off if you buy glasses and lenses and in the store, there was nothing like that, just a 25% off. Finally, there prices are always so high and not necessarily for a good deal. For example, a quote I got from my optician for $175 (only lenses) included Hi-index lenses, with hydrophobic, UV, AR, AS coatings. And at Lenscrafters, they quoted more than $234 for polycarbonate lenses, with UV, AR & AS coatings. As long as I was getting my sunglasses from them along with my eyeglasses, they were willing to deduct $100, however, when I changed my mind and got only the sunglasses, they backed off on their offer. Clearly, the offer was not based on any policy. The staff is friendly but I always feel like they are trying to oversell themselves and convince you that you would be a fool not to buy. \r

I finally decided to get my eyeglasses made from a different place because the price can be covered by insurance and I get better quality for a cheaper rate. The downside is that I will have to wait for the next calendar year for the insurance to cover it. But I am quite sure that I will not be going back to Lenscrafter. I have had some other horrible experiences with them in the past too because of their incompetent workers. Furthermore, anyone who is pressurizing you to buy should be a big no no. I did some research on lenses and eyeglasses and then went to shop for them and that helped me decide what was a good deal for me.
Pros: Got the glasses quickly
Cons: Too pricey for the quality, tricky staff.
