Review content:
I was in a physically and emotional abusive relationship, Ellen failed to recognize or accept that it was possible to for me to be the victim. Continually throughout my therapy with Ellen, she would dismiss or outright ignore descriptions of abuse..It baffles my mind that EVERY therapist following her immediately recognized the inappropriate behavior my ex portrayed, but not Ellen, oh no.
All this goes without saying she completely failed to recognize my PTSD symptoms, never suggested that I get out of the relationship or report the abuse to the police.
Literally taking my money(and insurance) for 6-7 mos, then cutting me loose, AFTER my ex dumps me. And oh, then there's the compliment to my ex's beauty AFTER the breakup?!?! Needless to say I, when I needed support the most, she was satisfied to terminate treatment.
In the meantime I have found great therapists, and a worse one too. The odd thing is, ALL other therapists
pretty much have common suggestions and observations. But Ellen refuses to respect my dignity by addressing the lack of diagnosis or and differences in her 'therapy' vs the others'.
She may be a great therapist for womens' issues, I sincerely hope she is. But she certainly has no business helping men.
Pros: she's expensive, she must be great at her job!
Cons: biased against men
