I come from a medical family. I know viruses are common and are sometimes misdiagnosed as infections treated with antibiotics. However, when a child is continually diagnosed with more than 10 viruses in a year's time, stays with fevers, runny nose, eye drainage, constant coughing, nose bleeding, wheezing, etc. you would think they would do something about it a little more than just telling us each time, ""It is a virus."" Nothing is ever prescribed, no other tests are ever done. They just tell us to keep coming back. in 3 days if he doesn't get better... of course.... that means they'll get paid more! Why cure a child the first time they are brought to you when you know the parents will keep coming back? I plan on taking my child to another pediatrician. I have lost faith in ECIM pediatrics.
