I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Daugherty's Appliance. 2 years ago, we purchased an $800 washer from them. Last night, it stopped working. I called today to see if we could have someone stop over to look at it. They are charging $80.00 for the first 15 minutes of diagnostic work. You get charged hourly after the first 15 minutes. Plus, they can't get someone over to our house until NEXT WEEK. I was surprised and disappointed that I somehow thought that buying from a local business was the right thing to do. Yes, I could have gotten our washer cheaper from Home Depot or Menards, but I chose Daugherty's. I didn't realize that they would try to outright rob me if anything went wrong with the washer. Based on their rates, we likely would be giving them a few hundred dollars to fix something minor with our 2-year old washer. I think that I will pay ANYONE besides them the money right now just because I can't believe they don't show their appreciation for local business in service costs; or at a minimum...prompt service. Sadly disappointed in Daugherty's.
