This guy, Tom Hart, was referred to me when I first moved to Vegas in 1995. He is totally honest and will never try to rip you off or sell you something you don't need. He's also extremely knowledgeable about cars and can usually pinpoint what's wrong either by your simple description or after a very cursory inspection. I even continued to bring my car to him after moving to the other side of town. One occasion I took my car to someone else, I still gave him a call to ask about this other guy's pricing, and he still helped me out even though he was not profiting in any way. Would your current mechanic do that?
I highly, highly recommend this fellow.
Pros: Will not rip you off, extremely knowledgeable
Cons: Will have to wait a couple of days to get your car in
