I am a spa fanatic. I can't think of a better way to spend an hour or two being pampered and relaxing. I discovered Urbanna through a groupon offer for a half price massage or facial. I chose the facial. As long as I was there and had the day off I added two other treatments - a pedicure and a hair color. The spa is situated in a historic building on Division. FREE PARKING - yeah! It's a wonderful eclectic mix of historic touches like open ductwork and brick walls combined with sleek black and wood furniture and fixtures. I was welcomed immediately and offered a beverage. I was early so I sat in the front lobby which had cushy chairs and a flat screen TV that was tuned to a nature show - but no sound so you could tune it out if needed. My pedicure was first. They have two large spa chairs in black leather a a nice massage feature that uses air rather than vibration and those really painful shiatsu massagers. I chose the lime-coconut scent and off we went. All the usual steps - clean nails, buffing, shaping and then a great scrub, then a paraffin dip followed by a wonderful leg and foot massage.
