Very hungry for a big country breakfast, I decided to stop in for a filling breakfast. What I got was one of the wost breakfast experiences I've ever had. (I tried for zero stars but this was not allowed.)\r \r I asked my server what she could recommend and she recommended both the pancakes and the skillet breakfast. She said even the 1/2 order of the skillet was very large. I quizzed her about the size of the pancakes and she said they were large (maybe even ""quite large"").\r \r I ordered the breakfast that came with pancakes because I had my little son with me and he likes them. When the breakfast arrived, I should have sent it back and ordered something else. I was flabbergasted to find that the 2 of them were bearly the size of silver dollar pancakes. I had to call my server over and aske her if these were the right size, to which she said ""they're a little small"". I asked that it please be fixed and she waited on another table. When she returned I was told that I could get more pancakes but that I'd have to pay for them. I was also told that ""this cook makes small pancakes because he doesn't like making breakfast"" and that this cook was being talked to about this by Mary. Mary never made an appearance at my table as was initially promised by the server.\r \r Empty plated, waiting for my second cup of coffee, I was so disapopointed I left as soon as I could. Still hungry from my ""country breakfast"" I went home to get something to eat. When I got home, I thought I left an important item at the restaurant. I called about it from home as soon as I realized it was misplaced. Mary, (who is either the manager or owner) said she would go look for it outside in the parking lot and then I was immediately hung up on without taking any of my information or anything further.\r \r So, if you want really high prices, a very small breakfast, in a place where the cooks rule, service is poor and misleading, and the customer doesn't matter - (what a mouthful - much more than I got at the Hen House) head on down to the Hen House where they are cheap with their serving sizes, large with the scratch, aren't good eggs about making it right, and having you leaving the restaurant feeling fowl - this is the place for you.
