Review content:
I was in a party of four on a business trip, looking for a good steak restaurant during our visit to the Detroit metro area. We were very pleased with the greeting, the Cheer's-like atmosphere, and the food was fantastic. As for me, the ribeye I ordered was the best ribeye I've had anywhere. BUT...\r

Our waitress was okay until we got our food. She came around maybe once in 30 minutes. Fortunately, three of us did not need more drink, and one of us had to flag her down to get another refill. One of the young men who was busting tables was far more helpful and friendly than this waitress was. He should have been promoted to head waiter. Anyway, when it was time to get our checks and pay, our waitress had everyone on one check. For business purposes, this was not a good option, so we all kindly asked her to give us each separate checks. Then, she blew a fuse and got really rude with us and gave us a hard time about it. She should have asked us if we wanted separate checks in the first place. As a reaction, we tipped very little or none at all to get our message across. When I reviewed my credit card statement, she had added her own tip, even though I had crossed out in ink on the check where the tip was to be added! This is poor, poor business any way you slice it. No one authorized her or anyone else to do something like this. If you really like to eat at Kiernan's, check your statements regularly or use cash. As for me, I will not go back to any place that does business like this.
