Review content:
Five seamlessly manages the impossible. It conveys an air of formality while upholding a relaxed atmosphere. At Five, you quickly realize the bartender is there to take care of you and to make sure you enjoy yourself. Bob Amendola, bartender for Five, says, ""It's a great place because you can see new faces and old faces, and just have a good night."" When asked why he thinks people continue to come in, Amendola says, ""It has as much to do with the atmosphere as it does the drinks."" He adds, ""We get an outgoing crowd in here; there is a very positive energy any night you come in."" With an extensive selection of high-end liquors, out-of-the-ordinary mixers, wines and more, Five has every conceivable drink covered. However, the drinks on its signature list stand out among the rest. The most popular, according to Amendola, is the Pomegranate Martini. The Five Pomegranate Martini is slightly different than most you will find -- making it all the better. Made with Three Olives pomegranate vodka, a touch of PAMA liqueur and topped off with POM pomegranate juice, this cocktail is one to savor. According to Amendola, it is the texture and the color that sets the drink apart. The deep red of the pomegranate contrasted against the strong citrus garnish make the drink as visually appealing as it tastes. The full flavor of the martini manages to reach all the right notes. Being both sweet and smooth, it makes for the prefect summertime cocktail. Amendola notes, ""This drink is all pomegranate!"" and the taste comes through pure and sharp. If you're looking for a new spot, or a familiar one with a new drink, try Five any day of the week. Keep in mind that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights ensure a full rail, packed booths and standing room only on the patio.
