India House in Folsom is the best Indian experience! The food is...well...just ridiculously good. Like transporting-you-to-your-happy-place good. Every time I eat here, I think, ""Is this real? Am I dreaming this, or is this food REALLY THIS GOOD?? Mmmmmm...""\r

The owner is a wonderfully charming man who makes you feel you are his very special guest. He tells wonderful stories. My favorite tonight was how 'Columbus of Christopher' sailed the seas for hundreds of days looking for India in search of all the many wonderful spices, but you don't have to sail the seas because India House is right here in Folsom! Very clever :) \r

India House is run by the family - it's very warm and friendly. The meals are all prepared by the wife and family members, and you can tell with every bite. Tonight, they made us Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, wonderful garlic naan, and the most amazing 'carrot cake'! It's not cake-like as you might expect, It's full of fresh carrot pieces full of FRESH carrot flavor, cooked in cream, buttery and just lightly sweetened. It's a wonderful end to a wonderful meal and a wonderful Indian experience. Try it once and you'll go back often!
