Review content:
My husband and I have been to Smokey Bones many times and were always impressed with service and food. However, this visit was different. My husband ordered a large appetizer as his entree and I ordered the a chicken dish. It was a very long wait for food after we were finally seated (also long wait time) and the appetizer was obviously reheated as it was dried out . The chicken strips were rock hard and the other items on plate wer over dried. The cheese topping had turned hard and fused to the bacon on top of the fries. My dish, was the same the bacon and cheese was one hard dried lump on top. It was edible but far from the usual quality. The waitress kept apologizing and blamed the delay on the kitchen -unprofessional. I think they were off their game as this is not usually the case with Smokey Bones. I noticed that there were empty tables as I left but people were still waiting at the door for seats. The two ladies handling seating should have been aware. I will give them one more chance and see. With the quality of restaurants & competition in Roanoke, Smokey Bones should take notice.
