I highly recommend this restaurant. Somewhat unexpected since it was all the way out in McMinnville, but worth the drive and certainly a great place to end a day in Oregon wine country. We had something from every course, and everything was supurb with good portions (no elf food here). For our main course we had the Salmon and the Strip steak respectively. Both were as delectable as nice restaurants I've gone to in New York and Las Vegas. Of course, it is priced accordingly. Two drinks each, with appetizer, main course and a shared dessert ran us about $120 with tip. Not uncommon for this calliber of restaurant, however. If you just went in for the main course, you could probably get out of there for half that. \r \r The service was good and very nice wait staff, but not over the top. (No crumb brushers waiting in the wings). Perfect for this small town restaurant. \r \r If you want a good table, I recommend reservations. If not, you may be sitting in the long row of two seater tables. It was really kind of hard to have an intimate conversation without being distracted by the people at the table to the right and left of us. Takes away from the romantic atmosphere. We got there at about 5pm on a Tuesday, so getting a table wasn't a problem. I imagine if you don't have reservations, however, you may have to wait for a seat or not get a table at all on a Friday or Saturday evening as the place was at about 60-70% capacity when we left at 6:30. Pros: Great food, good ambience Cons: An hour drive from Portland
