Founded in 1887, thanks to a grant from Trinity Lutheran Church(Reading), FAITH has grown from its original Sunday School gathering.
FAITH LUTHERAN is the first church to be founded in the Mount Penn Borough. Originally located in a small corner building just 3 blocks from our current site, the membership, needing a bigger building and wanting to escape the noise of the trolley traffic, sought a new location in the 1920's.
The congregation purchased the land and building on North 25th Street owned by the Mount Penn Country Club and Tennis Association, adding to the building over the years to accommodate the needs of a growing congregation.
The sanctuary offers a unique spiritual intimacy that enhances worship and the genuine, caring fellowship.
