Review content:
When I have out of town guests who want something yummy and uniquely Austin - without spending a gazillian bucks - there is one place that never fails to impress: Chez Zee. From the decor to dessert, Chez Zee invariably delivers a unique Austin experience that does not drain the wallet. While my favorites are the New Orleans Crunchy Pecan Chicken and the Ham and Cheese Omelet (so sweet!) I have yet to have a guest not find something to rave about. (And their smokey olive oil and fresh bread - yum!)\r
For those wanting a truly special experience, take your guests to the Sunday Brunch. While many go nuts over the Creme Brulee French Toast, I'm more partial to the Bed and Breakfast platter. Oh, and when I want to treat myself, it's the Lobster Egg's Benedict. \r
\r
It can get busy, so call ahead for reservations. Entertainment is provided with a balloon twisting clown, a piano player, and a slight of hand magician who is one of the best I have ever seen. Where did those golfballs come from?!?!?! \r
\r
Chez Zee is an Austin treasure and the perfect place to bring your out of town friends.
Pros: amazing desserts. unique cuisine. Quirky style.
Cons: be prepared for a wait on Sunday - but it's worth it
