Review content:
You pay for the view at Palisade, not the food quality. Once again I see it as a chef who cares more about being fancy than putting out the best meal. Most chefs I know are not into it for the diner, they are into their own egos. \r \r Don't get me wrong it is a great place to impress a date and you won't walk in the door without dropping a couple hundred dollars (not including drinks) But if you want food quality and better prices go to Scotts in Edmonds. It is more upscale than your regular bar and grill and it is owned by the same company. I had the halibut cheeks at both and like the Scott's version far better. The portions were larger and the price much cheaper. At Palisade the halibut cheeks had three different sauces on three tiny slices of breaded fish. Quite simply it was trying too hard.\r \r In my last two visits I have sent food back. If you are taking a date I recommend they order the Australian Rock lobster it is expensive but they ahve yet to screw it up. Choke down your meal while they are impressed by the slight of hand which is the service and view. Service was good when it was there but they have gone to wearing earpieces which make me think that either they are secret service in disquise or they take refiulling my water far too seriously. With all the communication gear you would think that everything would have gone faster, but alas no.\r \r I am never quick to judge and wouldn't write a bad review after a bad dinner. One bad mean, maybe you are off your game, at two, maybe it is just me, three and it is you, I am done with throwing my money into the Palisade hole. Pros: View and Ambience. If you can get a reservation for just before sunset it will impress if yo uare snobby, this is your place Cons: Way overpriced for the service and food quality. The marina detracts from the view.
