Review content:
Garden Ridge has a table of junk clothing that they've been trying to get rid of for months. They have recently been marked down (by putting a black marker line through the tags) to fifty cents per item. After sorting through them and finding a few things, we went to check out. The manager, Patricia, looked annoyed that she had to ring us up (even though we only had a handful of clothes and are friendly people) and so she took her time getting to us. No problem, it was the end of the night... we're still friendly. The next thing I know, what should have been ringing up as 50 cents each is being rung up and bagged at regular price. \r We kindly stopped her and said that they were all from the 50 cent table and that there were multiples of each on the table with the same black line through them. She just kept saying that the items we had were new items and gave this attitude as though she could do whatever she pleased and wouldn't go to the table to see all of the duplicates that were marked down there.\r I'm not from Memphis, but, in the short amount of time I've spent here, it seems that this is the most racially tense city I've seen. Why keep the hate going? It seems like it would be obvious by now that its counterproductive. \r This experience not only makes me never want to go back to Garden Ridge but also makes me want out of Memphis. Its like people of different ethnicity don't know they can be friends here. \r Thumbs down to Garden Ridge for allowing this behavior and thumbs down to everyone in Memphis who keeps the fire of stupidity and hatrid burning.
