Review content:
clearly, by the amount of personal testimony this is a beloved gym. after years of bouncing around houston's gyms (bally's, fit, ymca) i found my gym that is my home away from home to work out at timberline.
there are so many great things about timberline, i will try to capture many of them here:
1. the people- the staff can work with any fitness level and is supportive and helpful to all. plus they're FUN and they make working out fun.
2. the clients- some of the nicest people. that said, do not feel that this is social club. if you want to come and workout and go on with your day-that's cool just expect lots of people to smile at you, including your fellow workout company.
3. dogs-they have really nice kennels in the parking lot if you hate to leave your dog cooped up inside while you run off to the gym you can bring fido! plus, some of the trainers bring their dogs to the gym from time to time and it always makes my day to see a 4 legged friend at the gym.
4. variety- there is SO much to do here. you have the choice to work out on your own, with a personal trainer, with a personal trainer in a small group or in class. then, the equipment is crazy varied-want to box? cool. like those kettle bells-they got 'em. ride a stationary bike-you'll bowled over by the crazy bikes they have (go see 'em!), aerobic equipment, weights, and more. then the trainers are great and keep workouts varied so you're guaranteed to not get bored. finally the classes- check the website and you'll see what i'm talking about. but for those of you that get bored easily -well, you won't have that excuse at timberline.
Pros: friendly people (staff & clients), variety and awesome dogs
