I have been to Ogunquit many times over the years and I want to warn readers of this site to stay clear of Cafe Prego. I ate at this restuarant twice last week, but my second experience was shocking. The owner is out of control and uses the police and his position in the town to threaten and bully. After over 90 minutes of waiting for our food he said that it was our fault that we had been rude to the waiter. After we found out that the order was never entered into the kitchen we told the waiter there was no problem and mistakes happen, after 30 more minutes I went to the owner and questioned what is now the problem. He asked us to leave ---but not without paying for the check--all of it including the food that we still had not received. At that time the police arrived and advised that we needed to pay the charges or go to jail. \r

I am sure the police in Ogunquit are not part of this, but this man is in need of a long rest. He is irrational and beyond that unethical. Save your money and get your pizza at Pizza Hut, you will at least not have to worry about ending up in jail.
