Review content:
My name is Mrs.Spears, My husband and I had a very bad experience with the louisiana dept of social services. We got into the program to adopt children, but once completing the courses we were told the fast was to adopt a child or children would be to foster first, well we tryed that for about 6 months and still no adoption, then we had the most beautiful girls come and live with us their names were Taneshia and pamela . They lived with us for two years and we wanted to adopt them but as the time went on more reasons came up as why we couldnt adopt them. The girls wanted My husband and I to adopt them so badly, but as time went on the adoption never took place. The oldest girl tee started having behavior problems and wanted to be with older men sexually. I tolitarated for a while then asked for counceling for tee but the counceling she was getting wasnt working. I then asked to have her evaluated by some other concelor but I got no response nor help. Tee(taneshia) was just getting too much for me too handle with out proper counceling so I explained to their worker at that time that she would have to go and live some where else. The worker at that time told me that the sisters together was a package deal, if one leaves the other does also. I found that unfair not only to us but to the other child whom didnt cause any trouble which was her younger sister pamela. The worker was just not coorapative nor helpful at that time, so I had to let the girls go all together. It hurt me so bad that I had to let them both go that I just dropped them off at the Lobell Dell dept of social services and then left, I cryed all the way home because those girls where the best that ever happened to me. I just needed some extra help with tee thats all, but I didnt get that and now those girls are seperated and still no mother to love them nor their brother. But thats how the system works for children in Louisiana. They are left without a family and taken away from a good home. thanks
