I've never needed to have any major work done on my cars so this was a first. I feel like i could of had it done cheaper this is what i paid. I have a six speed Acura RSX the transmission was in bad shape.
I was charged:
$2000 ($1995) for parts
According to the order forms the parts cost them $1200 a 60% markup.
$1000 ($995) for labor
@ $80 an hour = about 13 hours of labor.
They included a LUK clutch kit and new motor mounts from Acura. Price he was asking for after work was done $3893. I complained because before they started the work he quoted me $3300 for rebuild and clutch we settled for total cost after tax of $3600. I did receive a 3 month warranty but ended up spending about 1/3 of what the car is worth.
Pros: Nice guys
Cons: Expensive paid $3600 almost $3893!
