Well to set the record straight the band drove from Ormond Beach to Bunnell, a 15 minute drive. They played one set, had no following of fans/patrons. The evening was a wash with a severe storm, the band was paid for the one set they did play. With no following it would seem that their popularity proves they don't pull in crowds. As far as the owner Michelle, she pays her bands, no other band has had any issues. An owner can't be at the bar 24/7 which leaves employees/management assistants to handle situations in her absence, apparently the employee that shut the band down had backbone! What is the purpose of playing to an empty bar whose benefit is that for, the employees? The bartenders do not make money when no patrons show up, where is your fan club, your following? Pros: An opportunity to prove your talents and draw crowds Cons: no one was interested in hearing the band
